I've got a special place in my heart for teachers, and I want to do everything I can (I mean, within reason!) to support them.
Bulk pricing
I'm very happy to do discounts for bulk orders and even happier when they're for classrooms. If the Bulk category doesn't have what you want, contact me and I'll see what I can do. Please use the email address you use for your school or institution in the contact form.
"Bulk" starts at 5 kits, and mix-and-match is okay.
Tax exemption
Tax exempt orders are doable but, because my store's software can't do it natively, the process is more manual:
- Fill out your cart normally but don't submit.
- When it's ready, copy its text and send it to me through my contact form. Make sure it includes product titles, variants/add-ons, and quantities. (The goals here are to make sure I know exactly what you're asking for and that it's all in stock.) Please also include a destination shipping address. Again, use your institution's email address.
- I'll prepare a custom invoice and send it to the email address you provide, typically within one business day. The invoice total will be what you saw on the shopping cart plus shipping, no tax.
- The invoice must be paid within seven days, during which your selected products will be held for you.
- After payment, orders ship via USPS, typically next business day.
Virtual classroom visits
Want to do a video chat after everyone's got their kits assembled? Let's make it happen.
I can deep-dive into the Oskitone design process, show prototypes, live demo code, field questions, talk to students about how their build went, etc. Whatever you all want to talk about!
Virtual visits are 1-2 hours long, done over Zoom or Google Meet, and of course subject to schedules permitting. Soldering is best done under the watchful eyes of real life teachers, so please delay our chat until after kits are assembled!
Contact me for rates and availability. For bulk orders of 10 kits or more, virtual classroom visits are free of charge. (Orders alone aren't a guarantee, so please do reach out first if that's a contingent.)
